This podcast got me thinking of a movie I saw when I was a kid….late 70s/early 80s. Don’t really remember much about it except a particular scene…a guy has a woman trapped in his house and is going to kill her. He has her naked and chained up, hanging from the ceiling in a secret room in his house…he comes in wearing a fireproof suit and is carrying a flame thrower. Things go downhill from there. This movie seems to be right up this episode’s alley…any ideas what I’m remembering?

In reply to Derek. I think we'll do more Cinematastrophes episodes, and "The Human Centipede" is probably a perfect choice. Likely any more of them going forward will be video only, so that you HAVE to watch the snippets from the film (no respite, if we have to suffer why shouldn't you as well)!

Any chance you’d review the Human Centipede series (the third is due out any day now)? I really don’t want to have to watch them myself. 😉 I get the impression the first one, in some bizarre way, is regarded as a masterpiece of some sort, somehow. I’d listen to that, but probably not watch it, in case you put snippets of the movies in (although watching your facial expressions while watching it could be entertaining and informative). 🙂

No question that it is good for you guys to experiment with new material and I applaud you for trying it out. I’m sure some loved it, but I found 45 minutes per movie (for movies that I will never watch) was too much. My personal opinion is that your other format is better, although I acknowledge and respect your choice to take the podcast in whatever direction you choose.

It seems like some Soda Jerks are quick to hate on this episode. I’m not for or against it really. My only thing is that I listen to Caustic Soda at work so I cant really watch the video which definitely makes this episode better. Anyway, you guys are awesome so keep up the awesome podcast no matter what direction you decide to go in.

Huge fan of the show, but not this episode, couldn’t get through more than 10 minutes of it. I’m sure many Soda Jerks are fans of B-Horror Movies, but a full 90 minute commentary dedicated entirely to it was too much for me. Here’s to hoping you remain with the old, winning caustic formula!
