Always good to hear the Thickets! I really like that song.
Nice episode. Just one very small point, since I know you’re fellow nerds who like such things: it’s my understanding that, in Portuguese, the j is pronounced more like in English than in Spanish. I.e. Jose sounds more like Joe-say than Ho-say, though it’s a bit softer (like the g in rouge). Big fan of the show, it starts my podcast week off so well!
Just a tiny correction: José Saramago was Portuguese, not Brazilian.
Ooh, please tell me you’re going to do a Satanic panic episode at some point! There’s so much material there. If it weren’t for the fact that terrible things happened to real people, it would probably be my favorite panic. (By terrible things, of course I mean the jail time innocent people were forced to serve because of unreliable, unbelievable testimony from kids who were basically coerced into lying by shitty excuses for adults).
So we know that Kevin doesn’t like such nerd favorites as Star Trek and Doctor Who, and isn’t crazy about regular popular shows like House or Breaking Bad. Are there any shows he follows at all?
Yeah, all the awesome stuff!
i nearly cut myself with a scalpel when you quoted Dr Wolf from the Simpsons (Now hold still while i gas you!)
Being too young to have seen Bosom Buddies, this podcast was the second time today I’ve come across it. If I had listened to this a few hours earlier I would have won a few extra points in my trivia game earlier today.
While somewhat off topic, this Thickets song kicks so much ass! I could listen to it over and over.
